ANATEL CERTIFICA Platform – New Procedures for Product Certification and Homologation

Dear Customers and Partners,

We would like to inform you about an important change to ANATEL’s product certification and homologation process in Brazil.

On September 8, 2026, ANATEL’s new CERTIFICA platform became operational, replacing the previous Mosaico-SCH system for new product certification and homologation applications. The new platform is linked to SEI-ANATEL, which introduces new registration and authorization requirements for companies acting as applicants before ANATEL.

What Has Changed?

Under CERTIFICA, applicant companies must be properly registered in SEI-ANATEL and the designated Certification Body (OCD) must be authorized to conduct certification and homologation activities on behalf of the company. Without the appropriate authorization in SEI-ANATEL, new applications cannot be submitted, which may directly impact certification and homologation lead times.

What Do Companies Need to Do?

  • Register the Company in SEI-ANATEL: The company’s legal representative must access SEI-ANATEL using a Gov.br account and associate the company’s CNPJ with the registered user profile.
  • Authorize the OCD Representative(s): After the company association is completed, the legal representative must issue an Electronic Power of Attorney (PoA) in SEI-ANATEL to the authorized representative(s) of the designated OCD. The authorization should allow the OCD representative to operate the Product Certification and Homologation Systems on behalf of the company. The authorization is not required on a project-by-project basis.

What If E3Tech Is the Local Holder?

For projects where E3Tech acts as the Local Holder (applicant) before ANATEL, no action is required from the client. E3Tech has already completed the necessary authorization procedures with the OCDs used for these projects.

For ongoing projects, E3Tech will review each case individually and contact the client if any specific action is required.

How Can E3Tech Support You?

E3Tech can provide the names of the appropriate OCD representative(s) to be authorized in SEI-ANATEL, together with guidance on the authorization procedure.

We recommend that companies acting as ANATEL applicants verify their SEI-ANATEL registration and complete the necessary authorizations as soon as possible to avoid delays in future certification and homologation applications.
